Chip Judd v 2.8 (not quite v 3.0)
I’m using that strange title to communicate the stage or phase of life and ministry in which Coleen and I find ourselves. We feel that we are at the threshold or initial moments of what we would call the third chapter or stage of our life and ministry together. We are blown away by the apparent God-guided trajectory of our lives. We are honored and grateful for where He has taken us and where we have yet to go.
Our journey together officially started in 1976. We were married May 15, 1976. We surrendered to the most awesome Person, Friend and Leader in the entire universe, Jesus, about one month later. It happened then because of my fear that I had ruined Coleen’s life by marrying her. But that’s another story for another time.
v 1.0 Stage/Phase/Chapter One started fairly soon as I was called into the ministry of pastoring, ordained in 1980, and we eventually (1984) planted and pastored a church, Victory Christian Fellowship, in Georgetown, SC, for the next 24 years.
v 2.0 Stage/Phase/Chapter Two didn’t start cleanly at the end of One. They overlapped by several years. I had gotten my Masters Degree in counseling from The Citadel with the intention of beginning a revenue stream (fancy way of saying making extra money) to help support my family. While still the Pastor in Georgetown I began to travel and do teachings, counseling, and training in areas uniquely influenced by my years of interest in and practice of counseling individuals, marriages, families.
v 3. Stage/Phase/Chapter Three is in process right now. These words you are reading on this new web page are the launching of this new adventure. Everything we’ve done up to this point, other than offering CD’s and MP3’s, has been limited by our physical presence, being in the same place with the people to whom we ministered. We feel it is time (probably past time) for us to develop ways of sharing, connecting, training, and developing people through any and every means available without having to be in the same room. So in the future you’ll see various resources and training materials all aimed at helping you and others grow out of your stuck places and into the exciting future God has for you.
